Elevate Your Equipment to ENA's Type Tested Register

The Type Testing Services that we are offering is based on the premise that clients like you, want to gain registration onto the Type Tested Register, which is run by the ENA.

So, if you have equipment that is made in the UK or imported from places like China and its not on that register, then this service will help you with the required process.

The Quotations we will be offering you for analysis is per metering point and based on connection of analytical equipment during normal working hours via existing metering circuits where possible. For distances beyond 225 miles from our offices or if connection is required to be carried out outside of normal working hours, this service will be calculated by our contact our technical sales department.

  1. Load & Power Quality Analysis includes: One Connection via existing metering Voltage & Current supplies (where possible) of Provision of high-end analytical apparatus (Dranetz PX5 or HDPQ)
  2. Delivery and connection – during normal working hours of Collection and disconnection – during normal working hours.

 

Analysis to include the following parameters:

RMS Voltage
RMS Current
kW
kVA
kVAr
power factor
Harmonics up to 100th Group.
Voltage Unbalance o Voltage Flicker

Stage 1: EREC G5/5 Harmonic Assessment up to and including Stage 1D.

Stage 2: EREC G5/5 Harmonic Assessment up to and including Stage 2B.

All Stages will be up to the 100 Group of Harmonics.

Stage 3: Additional work to carry out a Stage 3 EREC G5/5 Harmonic Assessment using suitable simulation software, should the Stage 2C assessment fail.

P28 & P29 Study using suitable simulation software.

G99/1-9 Testing of the Equipment when under working loads.

G100/1-3 Testing of the Equipment when under working loads.

∗ Assessments will require confirmation of fault level at the PCC and pre-existing harmonic distortion data from the DNO.

∗ Assessments will require details of the type, rating, and harmonic profile of the proposed “non-linear” loads to be installed from the equipment supplier/manufacture.

∗ Price for analysis (if required), is per DNO supply point and based on connection of analytical equipment during normal working hours via existing metering circuits.

Once we have the results of all the above-mentioned tests, we will make Provision of our final report detailing our findings & any recommendations. When we are satisfied that we have all the test results we need to obtain a good reception from the committee, we will do all the required paperwork and submit your equipment’s application.

And if your equipment is accepted onto the Type tested Register it will open a whole new marketplace for your goods, which will be unfettered by questions like is this equipment on the TTR.

Just to let you know about our success rate in supplying this service, we have already carried out this work on Wind Turbines and Generators, and we are now in the process of doing our first China based Inverter.
